Fundamental Questions:
What is the definition of Black Power?
What figure(s) and/or event(s) represent Black Power?
What is the best way for Black People to achieve collective Power across the diaspora?

Naderson Saint-Pierre
Since birth he's had a destined path as a creator. In 2016 after spending much time journaling his path through drawings he upgraded his vehicle for expression by swapping out the pencils for brushes.
His goal is to provoke thought and conversation that transforms the way that the viewer truly sees the world and their place in society.
Jackson Georges
Born in Port-au-Price, Haiti, son of a prominent Haitian artist, Duclavier Georges. Jackson is an accomplished artist, interior designer and educator
He started painting and sculpting at the age of 7. Jackson attended Foyer des Arts Plastiques, a fine Haitian art school. In New York, Jackson attended City College where he majored in Architecture and Fine Art. Jackson teaches visual arts and French in the New York City public school system.
Leslie “Les” Mejia
Is South Bronx (Lenape Land) native of Dominican Descent. Les sits on the intersection of Educational Equity, Arts facilitation, and Wellness advocacy.
As a licensed social worker, she has had the opportunity to fuse her love for artistic expression and explore its relation to mental health and wellness. Les brings community events to the South Bronx with the sole purpose of connecting, creating, and inviting folks to express themselves freely.
Marla Durand
Is a Haitian-American photographer based in New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia. Mo’s work throughout her career has mainly focused on nature. To her, nature is grounding and mesmerizing, and connects us back to our roots.
Mo has taken particular interest in photographing and showcasing Black People and Black Art. She believes in the importance of capturing her subjects in their best light and taking the time to show their true beauty for themselves and the world to see.
Emicia Parker
Is a award-winning Community Leader, Child Advocate, Speaker, Writer and classically-trained Fine Artist. She serves her community in many ways, such as leading, educating, speaking and writing.
She launched Empress By Emicia in November 2022 and has been delighted to fulfill both individual and corporate orders. She teaches Emotional Learning Training classes and poetry workshops in NYC High Schools since 2014.
Shanequa Benitez
Is a Black LGBTQ artist, activist and entrepreneur. Through her art, Shanequa not only reflects the essence of contemporary times but also embraces it as a medium for personal storytelling, enabling her to reclaim her narrative on her own terms.
Based in NYC, she channels her energies into her paintings, which often incorporate bold colors and text with social justice themes and imagery. She is also a prolific street wear designer.
Chet Gold
Is a multi-disciplinary artist, born and raised in the Bronx. His primary artistic focus has centered on painting and the art of rapping since the age of eleven.
After studying at "Fame" (LaGuardia High School of Art and Performing Arts), where he majored in Art, he went on to attend Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, receiving his BFA in Fine Arts with a focus on Illustration.
Mark Anthony Wilson Jr.
Is a self-taught artist whose practice marries the unveiling of African American heritage with Afrofuturism through painting, sculpting, and installation.
After playing football at the University of Cincinnati and earning a master's degree (2018) in Applied Behavior Analysis, he found his passion for art while working as a therapist.
